During the golden age of Hollywood, there was one photographer who all the big stars sought out. He set the standard, and many say he invented, glamour photography. That photographer was George Hurrell. Today “glamour photography” has taken on new meaning, so it’s necessary to change the name of this kind of portrait. Take part in a session that pays homage to Hollywood’s golden age, respect to the human form, and acknowledges with decency the glamour we’re all capable of. This session takes place in the comfort of our private studio and includes professional hair design.

Do you have any professional portraits of your parents or grandparents? A family portrait lasts. A family portrait is a keepsake for your children and grandchildren. Prints are available on a variety of archival papers, including gallery wrap canvas.

Congratulations! You’re having a baby and it’s time to celebrate. You have a special opportunity to get an intimate portrait. And believe it or not, it can be fun, elegant, simple, and done in the studio or on location. Bring your belly-bound baby to a field of wheat or an urban setting. As with all our sessions, we keep an open mind and welcome your suggestions.

So you’re a model, or perhaps giving the idea some thought. Great. You’ve got one opportunity to make an impression with the agencies. One chance to come off looking like the professional or the wannabe. If you’re serious about this you owe it to yourself to go professional. We include the makeup and hair, the studio and/or going on location, (the wardrobe is all you) and your choice of 10 digital images (with corresponding 8x10 prints) for your portfolio. All we ask is that you remember who helped you get your start or improve your portfolio when you’re famous.

Seniors (The High School Kind)
Sessions are meant to include important aspects of the student’s life. A senior wants to portray maturity, playfulness and individuality – and that’s basically what we capture. Sessions are as painless as possible. Whenever possible, a pre-shoot meeting to discuss tastes and details is recommended.

Little ones make life worthwhile. Bring in those little treasures so I can pinch their cheeks (only kidding). Seriously though, the studio is kid-friendly and we block plenty of time for wardrobe changes, feedings, accidents or tantrums. If interested, bringing your own props is a good idea.

Present yourself to the world on your terms. Your website, brochure, business card or customized soup bowl all cry out for great photography. A powerful, meaningful, appropriate, well-done photograph shows the world you’re ready for anything; A credible professional. Sessions are in the studio or on location. Like any of our other sessions, artwork is available.

Since 1997, Josephotography has provided regional and national agencies with quality images for stock, press release, publication, internal marketing and more. We will work with your Art Director or creative team to produce images that can’t be ignored. The equipment can be packed and on a plane in a couple of hours, or in the car in even less time.
